This entire portion of the hike I got sick with something similar to Giardia. It sucked. On the positive side of things, the terrain was mellow, the weather was great, and the scenery was *amazing*. Too bad I couldn't fully enjoy it because I felt like death. Lol. Crater Lake is really cool. It is the deepest lake in the USA and it is filled entirely by just rain and snowmelt. Evaporation and natural seepage maintain the level of the lake.
