Hey all, sorry for no update, we've been in a blackout area since leaving snoqualmie pass. We're currently in Stehekin, WA (a very cool tiny isolated community), with Doe Eyes, Astro, Scrub Rat, and Cityfood. We got in yesterday, and we decided to stay another night and we're leaving early tomorrow, since we're all kind of banged up and hurting. Its been raining the past week. It took all day yesterday to dry everything out (kinda sucks to find out in the rain that your rain gear is not waterproof...). Gonna enginneer some rainproof stuff and hope it holds for 4 days. Lol. Probably gonna get some snow on our way out too. Freezing levels are down to around 4000'. This last section we're between 6,000-7,000' We're 80 miles from Canada so we're all gonna just make the last push and hope we don't freeze. Lol! Pray for good weather. Its not that I mind snow, rain, cold, or wind, just not all at the same time. :D I'll update the blog as soon as I can. The internet here is very limited. Shakaloha! Stay tuned... xoxo
Ps. Dear god this last section since leaving Snoqualmie has been absolutely beautiful and amazing. And also, physically the toughest part of the whole hike, for me. Lol. Go figure. :)
Good to hear you're still going! I've been following along and was worried that injury or weather had forced you off trail. All the best!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the last part of your journey! I have been following you as well and wondered if you finished without telling us! I can only imagine the amount of reflecting you will do when this is over. Peace & love to you as you make this final push.

Glad to hear you're still on the trail & almost up to Canada! Good luck & stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that you're still well and in good shape. Well, almost done, you can out do any story the Ohau Jeepers will try to pass off at the monthly meetings. I know that every one of those guys are very jealous of what you're doing. Please make your last comments a summary of the adventure. Aloha cuz and mahalo for this blog. It's been great to read about your trip.
ReplyDeleteSo close . . . you're right the end is VERY near. You truly have experienced the very best and worse the trail has to offer. The stories . . . oh the stories!!!!
